I was honoured to be invited to work on this challenging (literally) anti-tobacco website. nodfrom2050.ca is a virtual postcard generating site – you can add your own graphics, edit the message and send it as an email to yourself. I was involved in the ideation of this site from the beginning, working in a collaborative manner with many others. The idea of this site is to help youth in move away from using tobacco by picturing a future version of themselves giving them messages of encouragement. My favourite part of this site is the stamp generator, which lets participants use their webcam to create a woodcut style image of themselves; I had to implement all kind of tricks to make that work 😉

Everything about this site was fun, from the beautiful colour scheme to the quirky opening salvo of, “The year is 2050.”

The site is built with headless CMS prismic, GraphQL, Gatsby and React deploying using a CI/CD pipeline connected to cloud services with AWS.
